Player Pathways Available at BSC - Overview
Grassroots Development Pathway (LTPD)
Ages 8-12
Grassroots Development Teams are made up of a selection of players interested in competitive play from U8 to U12 age groups. You will play according to Ontario Soccer and represent BSC in the Peel Halton Soccer Associations LTPD Festivals/League Program. As per Ontario Soccer rules, no scores and no standings are kept at these ages and no promotion/relegation occurs. Players are selected via trial orientation days that usually occur both in the Fall (Sept/Oct) and Spring (April) annually. That being said, all our Development teams can welcome trial orientations throughout the year for new players looking to join from other clubs, new residents to Brampton or players looking to move up from the recreational program pathway. Teams have licensed (fully certified) coaches that follow the BSC Club Development Curriculum that emphasizes developing 8 CORE technical habits, game understand and physical literacy.
Competitive Representative (Rep) Pathway - U13 - U18
Ages 13-18
Representative Teams are made up of the very best players from their respective age groups starting from U13 to U21. Players participate in either the Peel District League or Regionally across the Golden Horseshoe League. These leagues represent the highest Regional and District level of competitive play in Ontario. There will be scores and standings kept, as well as possible Ontario Cup level play. Emphasis is placed on both team/player development and competitive play. Tryouts will be held for this level of play annually in both the Fall (Sept/Oct) & Spring (April).
