About OPDL
The Brampton Soccer Club (BSC) is proud to have been awarded an OPDL license in 2019. We continue to maintain our high performance standards into the upcoming seasons of 2024 - 2025 for the U13 (2010), U14 (2009), U15 (2008) & U17 (2007/06) Boys and Girls Divisions!
The Ontario Player Development League (OPDL) was launched in 2014, with the 2001 age group. It is one of the first leagues in Ontario to combine high-level competitive play with strict performance training standards for youth. This innovative program is an essential component of the overall movement to introduce the core principles of Long Term Player Development (LTPD) across soccer clubs in Ontario and Canada.
The OPDL represents a young player’s early transition into a genuine, high performance training environment. The league targets the top athletes from U13 to U17 in the province, creating the highest level of competitive youth soccer play in Ontario. Unlike other leagues, the OPDL operates more as a high-performance training program than merely a league.
