It was just announced today that as of 12:01am on Saturday April 3rd,
the Provincial Government is imposing a Province wide shut down.
Based on the recent predictive modeling and rise in Covid cases, the Province is putting an emergency break across all regions in Ontario
for a minimum of 28 days.
This will impact team sports in the following manner:
- Prohibiting the use of facilities for indoor or outdoor sports
- All in-person Soccer activities is suspended for at least four weeks
Last week on Friday March 26, the Provincial Government announced
that the Grey Zone restrictions will permit Team Sports to operate in-person training with a maximum group size of 10 people. There hasn’t been
any news that the Grey Zone protocols have changed since this latest amendment, and we presently assume that this will be the case after
the Province Wide shut down has ended.
We will still continue to host our BSC Members update meeting today (Thursday April 1st) at 8:30pm. The aim of this update meeting is to inform our members on the latest information with the Return to Play process.
Below are the meeting details:
- Topic: BSC Member’s update – Return to Play
- Time: 8:30pm
- Zoom Meet Link: Shared vis TeamSnap & E-mail
As an organization, we will continue to offer the BSC Virtual Training program services until In-Person sessions are permitted within our Public Health Unit.
Wishing you and your families a Happy Easter Weekend!
Kind Regards,
Brampton SC
