The Ontario Government announced today a return to modified Step 2 in their Roadmap to Re-Open Plan and as such we would like to provide clarity to our membership on what this means from a soccer perspective.
The result is that ALL IN-PERSON SOCCER TRAINING WILL BE TEMPORARY SUSPENDED (AS OF WEDNESDAY JAN 5th) FOR THE NEXT 3 WEEKS or UNTIL THE CURRENT COVID-19 GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES HAVE BEEN LIFTED.
While we understand that this is not the news everyone hoped for as we kick off 2022 but we must adhere to these restrictions as best as we can. That being said, the club is committed to constant communication with
the City of Brampton and as soon as we are cleared to return to play, we will do so.
In addition, all BSC recreational programming, grassroots and competitive indoor league play has been suspended. We will be reaching out to league administrators/organizers to ensure schedules are updated
and any decision on shortening the schedule is not made without consultation of every team/club in each league.
To bridge the gap within the High Performance, Competitive and Grassroots programs, the Club will be initiating
a Virtual Training Program (starting w/o Jan 10th) to ensure our membership remains engaged during this temporary suspension of in-person training. More details to follow later this week.
I would ask you all to communicate with your respective Head Coach if you have any questions.
Stay safe and enjoy your time with the family during this difficult time.
We promise to continually provide any updates as information becomes available.
